Who We Are
Tetris Environmental was founded in 2017 by James Hesford and Amanda Hesford, combining their professional expertise to create a new consultancy based on a holistic approach to problem solving, broad operational knowledge and proven project management skills.
JAMES HESFORD
BSc. Environment & Biology
James is the Managing Director and cofounder of Tetris Environmental, he holds a Bachelor of Science, Environment and Biology and is an Exemplar Global Certified Environmental Management Systems Auditor.
He has more than two decades of in-house environmental expertise in the WA mining industry, having worked with local and global resources companies including Iluka Resources, Mineral Resources and Rio Tinto across operational, infrastructure, project development roles prior to starting Tetris.
Tetris is a member of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) with James being a member on AMEC Environment and Water Committee since 2015, and has been involved in AMEC industry working groups over this time.
James is a member of Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) and has made professional contributions to the development of WA Mine Closure Guidelines, ESG Guidelines, and the Centre for Mine Site Restoration, Curtin University.
AMANDA HESFORD CA
BCom, GradDip ICAA
Amanda is the Finance Director and cofounder of Tetris Environmental, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA).
Amanda brings her commercial experience to Tetris, folllowing a career in senior finance roles and infrastructure project teams in the Agriculture, Offshore Gas and Health Care sectors.
As a Chartered Accountant, Amanda began her career in the accounting profession advising SME clients on Business and Tax matters in Perth and the Pilbara across a range of industries. She has a special interest in working with Indigenous Corporations and businesses.
